Testing Manager: Integration Project: Global Energy (Part Time/Temporary/Seasonal)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: circa £650.00 to £700.00 per day (PAYE)
 
Exciting opportunity for a Software Testing Manager to join this global Energy company.

The main focus is to integrate into the portfolio company's existing practices and gradually bring them up to company standard.

This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. About The Role:
Responsibilities include providing expert technical knowledge to assist in systems testing and QA functions, under the guidance of the Testing Manager. This involves executing tests based on requirements and acceptance criteria, producing automated test scripts, and maintaining test suites. The role also includes activities such as code base verification for quality and security assurance. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the Testing Manager to design tests, raise defects, and ensure adherence to defect management processes

Job Purpose & Accountability:
Facilitating product backlog management and iteration planning by providing estimates and advising on testing approaches
Helping to define and produce test approaches for our products and projects
Identifying, escalating and contributing to resolve risks, issues and blockages that would impact overall test progress
Delivering high quality software that has been thoroughly tested to customers' requirements
Actively participating in review of acceptance criteria/requirements (static testing) to identify errors, omissions, and areas of ambiguity
Providing data to colleagues to enable derivation of testing progress reports and quality metrics
Facilitating and participating in all Agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, demos, refinement, retrospectives etc
Undertaking dynamic testing tasks, preparing test environments, executing test scripts, comparing actual with expected results and documenting and reporting outcomes.
Identifying and managing data requirements during testing with Product teams
Ensuring data requirements are considered early as part of user story creation or refinement.
Ensuring data or config requirements are understood and included as part of continuous integration and deployment - including automation.

Your Background Needs To Include:
10+ years relevant experience supporting the design and execution of end-to-end testing throughout the software testing life cycle including test planning, test design, test execution and reporting, and test closure.
Experience working with/testing cloud solutions and data solutions
Design and execution of several types of software testing including feature and functional testing, end-to-end systems integration testing, regression, load testing, performance testing and facilitating user acceptance testing.
Collaboration with other QA staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
Maintaining Requirement Traceability Metrics and Inspect
