Infrastructure Projects including systems such as Windows Servers, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, MS Teams and Azure AD, SCCM - specifically MS Endpoint Manager, Intune, SolarWinds, Applications, Patching and O/S Systems, Microsoft Server Genealogy - Servers 2008 to Servers 2022, Networking, IP Addressing, Routing & Switching, Wireless/Wi-Fi configurations.

US owned, Global Logistics and Materials Handling organisation have a requirement for a professional and energetic IT Infrastructure Projects Engineer who can offer expertise and assistance toward the upscaling, transition migration of key projects for this global company.

In this role you will assist in the Technical Services Lead with the resolution of 2nd & 3rd Line Helpdesk Tickets, and general day to day tasks supporting the client's UK and European IT Infrastructure.

You will also be tasked with assisting with IT Technical Projects and potentially be given ownership of IT Infrastructure Projects, Transitions/Transformations, Migrations and Consolidations that are pipelined for late 2024, into 2025 and 2026.

You will be a key player within the IT Infrastructure Team, required to ensure all Infrastructure Systems are kept up to date and software life cycles are well visible, suitable for purpose and well documented.

This role will require you work on Infrastructure call queue ensuring the IT Infrastructure Estate is kept up to date via patching and firmware updates as appropriate.

When required support technical projects and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. And monitor infrastructure capacity and escalate any capacity issues when identified

Experience Necessary:

  • Infrastructure Projects including systems such as Windows Servers
  • MS Exchange Online, MS Teams and Azure AD, SCCM & MECM - specifically MS Endpoint Manager, Intune,
  • MS Applications, Patching and O/S Systems, Microsoft Server Genealogy - Servers 2008 to Servers 2022
  • Networking, IP Addressing, Routing & Switching, Wireless/Wi-Fi configurations and SolarWinds
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure systems such as DNS, DHCP and Active Directory
  • Strong capability around Office 365, Exchange Online, MS Teams, Azure AD, Intune
  • Understanding of Microsoft Server genealogy - Operating systems from Servers 2008 to Servers 2022
  • Ability to produce concise and consistent documentation
  • A professional, process-based approach with a desire to see things through to completion is imperative

Certifications are Highly Desirable but Not Essential:

  • MCSE/MCP's
  • CCNA/CCNP
  • Azure
