Senior Vulnerability Analyst - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a skilled Senior Vulnerability Analyst to join a market-leading telecommunications provider on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension beyond 12 months. This role is signed off Inside IR35 and offers a competitive day rate.

In this role, you will conduct weekly vulnerability assessments, generate detailed reports, and maintain thorough documentation. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, ensuring the robustness and security of our client's telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsilbites:

  • Conduct weekly assessments of vulnerabilities identified by infrastructure scans.
  • Improve and automate the existing vulnerability management life cycle.
  • Evaluate vulnerabilities, rate them, and perform risk assessments on assets.
  • Prioritize discovered vulnerabilities and establish remediation timelines.
  • Provide vulnerability analysis and produce reports for management.
  • Collect, assess, and catalogue threat indicators.

What you Will Ideally Bring:

  • Expertise in identifying and prioritizing the patching of assets vulnerable to zero-day and widely exploited vulnerabilities using tools like Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining KPI and metric reporting systems related to vulnerability management with tools like Splunk, Tableau, or Power BI for effective monitoring and decision-making.
  • Competence in identifying and analysing new vulnerabilities and emerging threats using threat intelligence platforms like ThreatConnect, Recorded Future, or Open Threat Exchange (OTX).
  • Ability to map vulnerabilities against a unique and dynamic infrastructure on an ongoing basis using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or AWS Config.
