WMS Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Country: UK
 

Job Title: WMS Project Manager
Location: Northampton (Hybrid) travel to different UK sites as needed.
Contract: Inside IR35
Hours/Duration: Full-time, 5 days per week. Overall project expected to be 18-24 months in duration.


The Role of Project Manager
Our client, who is one the UK's leading trade suppliers, is seeking an experienced WMS (Warehouse Management System) Project Manager who can provide a hands-on approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project from start to finish according to agreed standards and methodology, ensuring the delivery of expected client benefits. Someone with knowledge of implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) into SAP or an equivalent system is essential for this role. Travel will be necessary as part of this role, along with some opportunity to work from home.

  • Definition, scoping, and planning of multi-disciplinary projects

  • Business case development
  • Business change management
  • Selection and implementation management

About you
Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects, ideally with a minimum of 4-5 years of IT Project Manager experience. You must have access to a vehicle and already hold the right to work in the UK, as we cannot sponsor visa applications for this role.

You will be experienced in:

  • both Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • building key client relationships and managing stakeholders
  • benefits tracking to ensure the benefits are realised and the project is successful
  • financial management, of all related project expenditure, hardware, software, capital and op-ex
  • implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) into SAP or SAP equivalent.
