We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading automotive clients! They are currently looking for a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team for a contract until the end of the year.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You'll focus on and improve reliability and availability across the IT application and infrastructure landscape. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and technical excellence, in a flexible way, particularly as we require support out of hours for maintenance changes and technical support (on a rota basis).
- Troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis
- Prioritisation and self-management
- Support and optimization of in-house and bespoke applications
- Adapting to change, learning quickly in a fast passed environment
- Delivering exceptional customer service under pressure
- Operational support within a medium to large sized enterprise
- A wide range of technical experience within a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Planning, organising, leading and delivering fast moving workloads with both internal and external resources
- Working to recognised methodologies ie (ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile)
- Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training and documentation
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- SCCM experience
- Enterprise application, Middleware and infrastructure technologies
- Database support, administration and optimisation
- Capacity, performance and availability monitoring
- Security, vulnerability and malware threat prevention
- Desirable - Motorsport, OEM automotive or engineering background
