Duties and accountabilities

• the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, compliance and alignment with business objectives.
• with the partner firm responsible for building the cloud infrastructure, offering architectural insights to ensure alignment with overarching objectives, particularly in the context of Azure cloud migration strategies.
• closely with the Cloud Managed Service Provider (MSP) post-migration to ensure that security measures and overall infrastructure adhere to architectural best practices and are well-optimized for Azure cloud environments.
• current with emerging Cloud technologies (beyond just Azure), trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on our cloud architecture.

Skills, knowledge and experience

The successful candidate will:

• in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate strongly preferred.
• experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• knowledge of Azure services and solutions including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.
• with cloud migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform or similar technologies.
• communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• requiring minimal supervision and possesses excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrates proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options and leading to resolution as appropriate.
• in the insurance sector is good to have.
