Position Available: Software Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid) & Dynamic Working Hours

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 DoE + Paid Overtime & Company Bonus & Very Good Pension Package

Experience needed: Experience of software engineering within a complex, high-technology engineering or manufacturing industry such as defence, aerospace, automotive, robotics, electronics, satellite & space technology and similar. We have lots of roles available, but would be keen on engineers with experience of C or C++ on Linux.

• Embedded C
• Embedded C++
• Real Time Engineering
• Design and development
• Verification and validation
• Software project management/leading projects from a technical perspective

In these roles, you will be working across multiple applications on both land and maritime projects in the systems software department. This role allows for involvement in some of the most sophisticated systems in the world across multiple domains, and provides a great opportunity for someone wanting to be involved in many differing areas of software.

Any experience in the following is a bonus:

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (Physics, Electronics, Software, Aerospace or similar)
• Experience in a relevant engineering industry
• Experience with good software engineering practices across the full development life cycle
• Experience of working in an agile development environment
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced members of the team
• Basic understanding of project management processes
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
