Head of Problem Management (Contract)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £Comp via PAYE
 

Robert Half is supporting a Global Consulting Firm in their search for a Head of Problem Management to drive a greenfield project in collaboration with their end client.

Contract Details:

  • Remote assignment with the option to meet stakeholders in the City of London.
  • Initial 3-6 months contract with competitive PAYE-based payment.
  • The payment will be on a PAYE basis competitive for this level role.

The Head of Problem Management will need experience in:

  • Substantial experience within the Financial Services sector.
  • Proven experience leading Problem Management teams or initiatives, preferably in a greenfield setting, from conception to implementation.
  • Deep understanding of Problem Management methodologies and best practices, with the ability to tailor them to the unique requirements of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and driving proactive resolutions.
  • Experience in establishing and refining Problem Management processes, tools, and metrics from the ground up.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Development, Operations, and Compliance, to drive continuous improvement and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Familiarity with managing remote teams and outsourcing arrangements, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management, including engaging with senior leadership and regulatory bodies to provide transparency and drive accountability.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering tangible outcomes within a defined timeframe.
  • Understanding of trading platforms and associated technologies, with a focus on optimising performance and minimising disruptions to operations.
