Job Description:

We are looking for an expert in project management with a strong background in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods, specifically within the context of GDS. The ideal candidate will possess end-to-end project delivery expertise, encompassing technology and business-based execution. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while aligning with GDS principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and monitoring, adhering to principles.

Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies effectively to meet project objectives within the GDS framework.

Define and identify critical paths, interdependencies, and milestone hierarchies in alignment with GDS requirements.

Oversee test principles and user acceptance testing processes, ensuring compliance with GDS standards.

Implement RAID-based controls for proactive risk management within projects.

Matrix manage multi-disciplinary teams, providing coaching and support to team members while adhering to guidelines.

Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, and variance tracking, aligning with GDS financial management practices.

Define and measure success criteria for project deliverables, reflecting performance indicators.

Prepare and deliver concise project highlight/progress reports tailored to stakeholders.

Take a proactive, forward-thinking approach to project execution within the GDS framework.

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, including stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment conducive to project success.

Develop governance models and facilitate key meetings and workshops in alignment with governance requirements.

Requirements:

Proven experience in project management, with a focus on technology and business projects within the Government Digital Service (GDS) framework.

Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies within the context of GDS.

Strong understanding of GDS principles and requirements, including project planning, delivery, and governance.

Experience with test principles and user acceptance testing processes within projects.

Familiarity with budget management, financial forecasting, and variance tracking aligned with financial management practices.

Ability to define and measure success criteria for project deliverables in accordance with standards.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience with stakeholders.
