IT Business Analyst - EU Regulatory Project
My manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work on an European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) project.
The role is a key role within a small cross functional team being put together to plan and deploy a solution to EU regulations.
At a high level, the BA will be responsible for understanding the relevant requirements for EUDR, understanding our "as-is" situation, with respect to data capture, data processing and data reporting and helping define our "to be" solution.
The Business Analyst is expected to help define the key people, process and tech activities we need to implement to be compliant on EUDR.
It is expected that our tech solution - which will be a key component of our compliance system - will probably be a combination of an off the shelf package plus some custom/in house development.
Purpose of Role
Support the scoping, design and then the delivery of our solution to ensure we are compliant with EU Deforestation regulation covering the tech solution plus also any people and process activities required to implement the tech solution.
Essential Skills
- 5-10 years experience as an agile BA
- Experience on EU regulatory projects is a bonus
- Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operational systems and processes experience in a B2B manufacturing/IoT environment.
- Experience in Manufacturing Systems in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment (SAP, MES, PLC) Ex
- perience of agile methodologies, software development life cycle, and product innovation
- Understanding of data integration, modelling and relational databases
- Experience in Track and Trace type solutions in manufacturing/supply chain environment
- Experience implementing IT systems for regulation/compliance.
- Stakeholder management & influencing skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global Matrix organisation
- Open to travel
Key Duties
- Responsible for business analysis, requirements management and business process mapping for designing and implementing our solution for ensuring compliance on EU Deforestation regulation.
- Translate the business requirements/regulation requirement into a technology platform/product solutions specification in line with our client's IT principles and Technology reference architecture.
- Support technology vendor and delivery partner evaluation and selection, RFI/RFP preparation and analysis and statement of work preparation for any 3rd party solution we look to procure
- Support business case development and stage gate success criteria for new products from a digital and technology perspective. Support the creation of relevant sales and marketing materials in relation to digital and technology enabled products.
- Work across cross functional teams as well external partners and vendors to ensure the successful design, delivery and support of technology enabled strategic innovations.
- Provide ongoing quality assurance through iterative test planning and execution through the life cycle of the project, including value realisation validation.
- Support preparation of internal and external (customer) training and sales and Marketing materials as appropriate.
This role uses a hybrid model with a mixture of WFH and occasional travel to London
