Senior Kubernetes Administrator - Outside IR35, Kubernetes, Cluster, K8s, IAC

• 3 days per week in Oxfordshire, 2 days remote
• Rate - £600 per day

My client is a technology organisation based in Oxfordshire. They are currently looking for a Senior Kubernetes Administrator to join their software team to enhance and support their existing Kubernetes infrastructure.

You will be responsible for

• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to assimilate information from an existing resource, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of knowledge within the team.
• Architecting a reliable and scalable Kubernetes solution that can create an efficient deployment of clusters
• Designing and implementing a multi-tenant architecture that abstracts security and foundational features, allowing flexibility in underlying K8s services (AKS or EKS).
• Automating the infrastructure setup using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient, repeatable deployments.
• Develop a robust monitoring framework to effectively oversee cluster services and manage fleets of clusters.
• Produce comprehensive documentation detailing the architecture, deployment processes, and monitoring setup
• Conduct in-depth training sessions for current staff to ensure a seamless handover and continuous capability within the organization

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

• Expert in Kubernetes architecture and orchestration, including cluster setup, scaling, and management.
• Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible for automating cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Strong background in cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, GCP) with knowledge of managed Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Skilled in implementing comprehensive monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Spinnaker for streamlined deployment processes
