Python Developer (Contract)

We are currently seeking a Python Developer to join our client's Data Archiving product team on a contract basis.

This role requires a blend of support, development, and release management responsibilities. Initially, you will be focusing on the construction, management, and maintenance of their AWS platform. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and managing the team members within the product team.

Key Skills:

  • Strong Python experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure principles and familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with tools like Postman for API testing, Docker, and Podman for application runtime environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing workflows.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices-based applications.
  • Understanding of information security controls to address threats within solutions and services.

Preferred Ways of Working:

  • Background in Data Migration, Data Profiling, and Data Quality enhancement.
  • Proficiency in Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitCI.
  • Strong comprehension of the software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices including Agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, etc.
