Infrastructure Engineer (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Manchester Country: UK Rate: £46600 per annum
 
Infrastructure Engineer - 1 2 months Fixed Term Contract - Hybrid working Manchester City Centre (3 days remote) - £46,600 p.a. + Benefits

Join an Infrastructure team managing and maintaining a cost effective, robust and secure corporate computing and networking services to cost, quality and time criteria ensuring SLAs are adhered to with plenty of project work.

To apply you should have the following demonstrably good level of tech competence in:
  • 4+ years of mainstream computing, hardware, storage and back up platforms
  • Mainstream operating systems
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Virtualisation, both server and desktop
  • Microsoft Active Directory and management tools such as SCCM
  • Experience of successfully delivering enterprise class computing and networking infrastructure including high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Extensive experience of managing enterprise backup tools, SAN technologies, blade Servers and datacentre ancillary services and one of the following:- mainstream networking technologies and telecoms
  • Understanding of programme and project management methodologies
  • Be a logical thinker, able to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues in a pressured environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and troubleshoot data centre technologies and processes.
  • Broad knowledge of mainstream network protocols.
  • Commercial awareness, ensuring value for money principles are applied to own area of work.
  • Proven ability to produce and maintain effective documentation.
  • Expertise in resource management and risk management methodologies and processes.
  • Good communications skills, able to engage with colleagues and customers at all levels, whether technical or otherwise.
  • Well developed, demonstrable planning ability.
  • Persuades and influences both internally and in external networks.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure and in a fast-moving change environment.
