Senior Network Engineer (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: Competitive + Benefits package
 

Senior Network Engineer - Financial Services - London - Hybrid (3 days office/2 days wfh)

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with experience working in a Financial Service or other regulated environment, to join our client, a large commodities house based in city of London on a permanent basis. You should have extensive experience of Cisco, Juniper, Huawei and Checkpoint as well as experience of Firewalls, Switching and Routers amongst other skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks across ICBCS
  • Support team colleagues to operate within the company's IT systems and ensuring that knowledge is shared across all individuals
  • Making sure that the networks are kept and maintained to within standard to support the global network stability and security
  • Installing and maintaining network devices, establishing and maintaining company wide access policies
  • Providing technical support and assistance to ICBCS
  • Performing analysis and collecting data to establish the potential for improvements within the communication networks
  • Working with third-party providers to support the networks running efficiently
  • Help support the company's phone system and working closely

Experience required to successfully perform the role:

  • CCIE/CCNP routing and switching
  • Extensive experience of Network engineering
  • Experience utilizing Firewall, Switching and routing technology
  • Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, Checkpoint, Juniper (all essential)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, financial services or similar environment
  • Preferably an IT related degree or relevant technical certifications

Technical skills and expertise:

  • Must have senior level Cisco experience - CCIE (R&S)
  • Must have senior level Huawei experience
  • Must have senior level Juniper experience
  • Experience working with Checkpoint
  • Experience working with Firepower
  • Experience working with CUCM
  • Experience working with Nice call recording
  • Experience working with developing automation and tooling
  • Strong knowledge of MPLS (Layer 2/3 circuits)
  • Mush have strong understanding of IP Addressing, network routing protocols eg OSPF, BGP)
  • Must have strong understand of IP Addressing, subnetting, HSRP
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and Software defined solutions

*Please note that this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days minimum office based and up to 2 days wfh.*
