Network Project Manager
6 Month Contract
Hybrid
Location: Edinburgh/Midlands
Lorien's UK leading Pensions and Insurance firm are currently looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to join the team on an initial 6 month contract.
Mandatory Skills:
- Data Centres: Consolidate our disparate business solutions on to a single enterprise network with the appropriate underlay (physical connections and cabling) and overlay (software defined network) enabling agility and control
- Network Connectivity: (SD-WAN/LAN) Fortinet. Reduce dependency on dedicated 'closed' networks eg MPLS and vendor lock-in. All forms of connectivity could be utilised, as appropriate.
- Mobile services: Wireless technology will be used for more than communication (eg Premises using IoT for location sensing, energy consumption). Devices will move seamlessly across multiple wireless technology infrastructures
- Cloud Services: Exploitation of Aviatrix technology across Phoenix Group. Design network overlay. Become cloud native where more of our sensitive data is located outside our enterprise data centre, in cloud services, than inside. Shift in user traffic, with more destined for public cloud services than to our enterprise data centre.
- Remote users/working from home: Assess SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) technologies to improve our network security controls and enable both Surface devices and BYOD (for partners/contractors) to access our corporate resources both in cloud and on-premise. Needed for Asset Management desktop. Focus to the identity of the user and/or device, not the data centre. Identity is core to Zero Trust security posture. Consistent policy enforcement with simplified management to provide a consistent anytime, anywhere access model
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Acquisitions can be quickly and securely connected to corporate apps and data using Internet connectivity (SD-WAN). Infrastructure and applications can be scaled based on demand using PAYG capacity from Azure and AWS
If this sounds of interest, please apply and we will give you a call to discuss.
