1st Line Trade Floor Desktop Support - London - £35 - £50K + Benefits

An excellent opportunity has come up with a global hedge fund based in Mayfair, who are currently looking for a 1st Line Trade Floor Desktop Support Analyst to join a small team. The ideal candidate will come with 1-3 years experience supporting a Trade Floor where you will be the primary point of contact for all technical support queries from their London user base, as well as supporting other offices globally.

Someone who has experience in a broad range of financial software/tools coupled with great troubleshooting skills and outstanding customer service will thrive in this role. Enjoying supporting users, working under pressure and being proactive will also be key features in helping you to succeed.

Although this is predominantly a support role, there will be opportunities to participate in project work and develop as well as expand your skill set. We pride ourselves in using the latest and greatest technology available to help maximise our goals and streamline operations.

Essential skills

• 1 - 3 years' relevant commercial experience, preferably in a similar industry
• Good understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11) and the suite of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel & Outlook.
• Previous experience in supporting market data applications such as Bloomberg
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP and the networking stack
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with desk/Workstation setups
• Hardware break fix experience
• Able to work autonomously to complete tasks, yet an enthusiastic team player
• Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and prioritize work accordingly
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels of technical proficiency.
• Good awareness of cybersecurity

Environment

The London office currently has around 130 people. The technology team globally, comprising of development and systems personnel, is a friendly team of just over 60 people.
