Senior Network Engineer
+ Salary: £60,000 - £80,000
+ Location: London (Hybrid)

The Role:
Be a part of the Network Engineering team, contributing to outstanding projects alongside an exceptional group of professionals. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible of the design, integration, deployment, and performance evaluation of the full end to end Network following a continuous integration and development approach on all aspects.

What you'll be doing:

• Analyse technical architecture of Network (Core- Distribution and access levels) to understand dependencies, points of failure, impacts, to provide recommendations for Network and continuously improve resiliency across our infrastructure.
• Create and implement high and low-level designs in alignment with architecture principles and standards.
• Adept and creative skills for solving complex technical network across multiple functions. In-depth troubleshooting, troubleshoot issues efficiently while effectively communicating escalations and outcomes.
• Network aptitude. The skill to take a new technology, research it, test it in the lab and deploy it live.
• Lead significant projects including design, development, integration and deployment
• Continuously improve existing automated functional and non-functional monitoring scripts and tools.
• Act as a senior member for the Network engineering team, providing an escalation point and acting as a mentor to other engineers in the team.
• Provide technical support to the team and the wider business and take part in an on call 4th line support rota.

The experience we're looking for you to bring:

• The Engineer should have 5+ years of experience working as a senior engineer in a core and access network engineering environment
• Advanced experience in monitoring infrastructure and applications using tools like Zabbix, Grafana Enterprise and or Cloud
• Advance experience of SNMP polling, trap and streaming telemetry, MIB & OID understanding and translation.
• Knowledge of programming languages Python/Ansible
• Competent/Advanced MS Excel (or other analysis tools)
• Palo Alto Firewall Expertise
• Juniper, Adtran and Cisco expertise
• Proficient in writing technical documentation for all audience levels
