Role: Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Rate: £310 inside ir35

Duration: 24 Months Initial

Hays Technology is looking for a Data Engineer to join an exciting client's team.

What you will be doing:

• Migrations, builds, Ingests, transforms and store cleans
• Enriching data ready for consumption
• Testing new or migrated data pipelines
• Analysing data sets for new build or migrating onto a target platform
• Maintaining Standards and work with 3rd parties when required to ensure adherence to standards
• Act as a liaison between consumer teams and source system/data owners

What we are looking for

• 2+ years of data experience with data analysis and preparation, including experience with very large data sets
• Someone who has experience interacting with end user teams, and capable of understanding how data needs to be structured for consumption.
• Someone who has solid business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands

Strong understanding, knowledge or experience with one or more of the skills below:

• Experience with one or the following: Python, PowerBi, SQL, AWS
• Data manipulation and extraction
• Data migration
• Data Governance tooling
• Collecting, Blending & Transforming Data
• Data Feeds and Data Onboarding
• Database management system tools
• Code development experience.
• Assessing, designing, and implementing data quality correction and profiling algorithms
• Implementing data models and structuring data ready-for consumption
• Data pipelines
