Network Security Engineer is required by a leading FinTech.

The role encompasses the design, implementation and support of network security solutions utilising vendor as well as open-sourced products and would suit an experienced Network Security Engineer with deep knowledge of Firewalls and perimeter security technologies. The ideal Engineer will have significant knowledge of route switch (BGP, OSPF etc) complemented by significant (and recent) network/perimeter security experience achieved in a financial services/markets environment. The incoming engineer will be responsible for design and architecture decisions, LLD and project implementation/management as well as BAU duties. Technically, the Network Security Engineer will need to demonstrate advanced knowledge of; Palo Alto and Fortinet (and next generation Firewalling principles generally) - virtual and physical, IDS/IDP, CASB and SASE concepts, network segmentation as well as experience of network packet analysis and SIEM log analysis (advantageous). It is important to state that this is a network security role not a network role with aspects of network security. The Network Security Engineer will need to be an SME and act as Product Owner for Network Security and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the security concepts that determine a secure network perimeter (CISSP advantageous).
