The Company:

My client is a well-established and highly respected B2B technology company experiencing another sustained period of growth. I am seeking a driven UX/UI Designer to join their expert Software Development team.

The Role:

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for delivering the best user experience and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also be responsible for designing new products and features to add to the client's range of software products as well as proposing changes to existing products to improve the user experience.

This is a hybrid role with lots of flexibility, allowing you to choose the environment that works best for you. The team usually meets up at the West Midlands head office 1-2 times per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create user personas, user journeys and site maps.
  • Translate concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows using specialist tools.
  • Run workshops for clients and internal stakeholders to test new ideas before implementing them.
  • Conduct on-going user research.
  • Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements.
  • Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets and computers.
  • Work collaboratively with other product design and development teams, business analysts, developers and project managers on any UI/UX issues.
  • Ensure UI/UX designs are carried out through to completed developments.
  • Develop and maintain UI/UX standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Attend meetings to discuss and review progress on projects.
  • Continually update skills by learning new technologies relevant to the role.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Proven experience in a similar UI/UX design role within software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-centered.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with an eye for detail
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options.
  • An aptitude for using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure designs are user-friendly and simple for end users
  • An interest in and knowledge of design principles
  • Critical thinker.
  • Knowledge of wireframing tools

You will also be asked to provide a portfolio demonstrating UI/UX skills.
