Data Migration Analyst (social care systems) (Contract)

Location: West Yorkshire Country: UK Rate: £450 - £550 per day
 

A Data Migration Analyst is required for our client based in west Yorkshire. This is for an initial 6-month contract (with likelihood of extensions). Mainly remote but site visits as and when required. Mostly 37 hours per week (dependent on project needs and potential for some flexibility).

Key requirements will be:

  • Significant experience in migration of social care systems - ideally experience with Mosaic
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adults and/or Children's Services process and procedures and the likely related statutory reporting requirements
  • Extensive experience with writing database extracts, analysing tables and writing extraction procedures in a variety of technologies eg OraclePL/SQL, Integration Services
  • Extensive experience of social care case management and finance migrations with an excellent understanding of finance data issues, forms and workflows - with the ability to analyse, interpret and advise on the reconciliation of those issues
  • Good understanding of source control principles and version
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of working in IT projects and ability to contribute to and/or manage relevant documentation (RAID, migration scope etc)
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and to produce high-quality written reports summarising data, complex issues, and risks
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders from a variety of audiences and technical understanding (eg be able to translate complex migration issues for non-technical people)
  • High level of competence in the use of IT systems; able to self-teach and assist/mentor others in the use of IT systems and processes in relation to data migration

Key deliverables

  • To carry out the data extraction work from the Legacy systems working collaboratively with the nominated team members ensuring appropriateness, adequacy and within the timeframe required.
  • Responsible for the mapping and extraction of data in the required format from the in-house social care and finance systems (CASS and CIS) and other relevant data sources, such as spreadsheets and other databases.
  • Liaising with the business representatives, developers, and Project Leads to identify and address any data which fails to meet the minimum migration standards
  • Ensuring that the required data is extracted and provided to the Data Migration Specialist, for transformation activities, in line with project plan timeframes
