IT Manager (Contract/Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £NEG
 

IT Manager - London - 6 months - Contract/Perm/T2P - £NEG

Manage the IT. Department (including infrastructure, applications, devices) to ensure that all systems perform at the highest level of reliability and match the requirements of the business.

Ensuring that all operational systems including venues and head office are running to optimal effect and fully supported 24/7.

Manage the capital budgets relating to operational projects.

To run the operational (both external sites/Head Office) systems and technology to ensure venues and head office operate effectively and efficiently.

Manage 1st line (outsourced), tu2nd line and 3rd line engineer and 3rd party vendors.

Manage and prioritise Helpdesk tickets and service providers.

Manage key supplier relationships ensuring value for money and high performance.

Manage the relationship between relevant external agencies/businesses and client at a technology level.

Ensure strict adherence to company policies and guidelines and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

Continually to assist the CITO review and benchmark company IT capability and ensure industry best practice.

Work with the CITO to enable technology refresh projects over multiple years.

Review and recommend improvements to existing projects and implementations.

Ensure that all technology systems are installed and operated in a safe manner.

Form part of the senior management team alongside CITO, Head of Cyber & Information Security and Head of projects.

Lead Acceptance into Service and Change Advisory Boards.

Systems

Ensures the company makes use of systems and networks that are maintained by the IT department. This includes a Microsoft Active Directory based network, and standard MS Office applications.

Important security-related functionality includes use of (remote connectivity), Trellix disk encryption, and system patching via Manage Engine Endpoint Central. Acronis used for work-station imaging and deployment.

Additional system software and appliances that have a bearing on the provision of key controls, includes:

Monitoring products.

Azure AD.

Rapid 7.

Dell OpenManage Essentials (for server hardware).

Problem and Incident management.

ServiceDesk (ManageEngine).

Backups.

Cloudberry and RedStor.

Network traffic filtering.

Sophos Firewalls.

Email security.

Mimecast.

Tessian.

Anti-virus.

Crowdstrike.

Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection.

Online collaboration.

MS Teams, and various other aspects of the Microsoft 365 suite.

Mobile Device Management.

MaaS360.

Business process-related systems include.

Sugar (CRM system).

ADP (HR, employee portal).
