Communications Specialist - Amsterdam

This is a Amsterdam based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

The Data & Machine Learning Platform (DMLP) organization is accountable for providing services that support analytical use of data across our clients business, so that business value can be extracted out of data, eg more personalization, loyalty and segmentation. Therefore, from production to consumption, we provide an E2E modernized data infrastructure that enables the production and consumption of owned, available and quality data. The Foundational Capabilities are built on Data Governance policies to enable reliable data management across our clients business.

Education and experience:

• You have a bachelors degree or equivalent
• 5+ years experience working in complex global internal communication programs in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with Journalistic skills: interviewing, writing, copy editing, proofreading
• Proven experience creating and delivering communication strategies
• Able to run communication planning at a strategic/program level
• Strong project management skills, ability to run multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively
• Ability to influence and build effective relationships with senior collaborators, and use those relationships to enable the best possible outcome for Booking.com and employees
• Ability to coach leaders and line managers to be effective communicators
• Ability to distil sophisticated issues/ideas into simple, honest and compelling communication; avoiding jargon and matching language to the needs of colleagues
• Proven success working with internal (social) channels and community management
• Understanding of organizational culture: which channels will work most effectively in different environments and why
• Detailed understanding of channel monitoring, campaign evaluation, qualitative/quantitative feedback and survey analysis

Key Responsibilities:

• Communication delivery
• Partner with the Change Management Lead to develop & deliver internal communication artifacts that enable strategic alignment and employee engagement across all of our Clients departments (Business Units)
• Own the maintenance and execution of the communications
• Network and build relationships with departmental PMOs to identify communication needs and contribute to the ongoing development of the comms plan
• Creating and Curatin Content
• Articulate the program narrative, adapting as necessary for different Booking.com audiences
• Deliver innovative and creative communication campaigns, using Booking.com branding
• Campaign artifacts eg: newsletters, slides, FAQs, documentation, workplace post series, video updates and in some cases in person event management such as all hands Q&As
• Distil complex issues/ideas into simple, honest and compelling communication
• Coach key partners in effective content creation and opportunities
