Core Network Engineering Project Manager - Telecoms - 100% Home Office

Darwin Recruitment has a new vacancy at one of our clients where we are looking to hire a Core Network Project Manager to start as soon as possible. This is 12 months Temporary contract followed by Permanent employment. 100% home office.

General Conditions:

• Contract type: 12 months contracting/consulting up to EUR 500-625 per day
• Salary after 12 months: To be discussed/agreed if interviews successful
• Duration: 12 months, followed by permanent employment
• Location: 100% home office
• Start date: May 2024
• Workload: 100%

We are scouting for Project Management service to deliver according to following services:

• 70% plan and coordinate Core Network Engineering projects in different domains of B2B. Specification and exact deliverables will be specified project by project (details to be confirmed next stage).
• 30% plan and coordinate with all stakeholders and execute a project involving a hyperscaler and (my clients) premises.

The main stakeholders in the project are:

• (My clients) Mobile Core
• (My clients) B2B and CTO Units
• Hyperscaler

The key activities in the project are:

• Clarification, planning and execution of the Hyperscaler connectivity requirements:

This includes requirements collection from the Hyperscaler, necessary bandwidth decision, development of the connectivity Matrix necessary in the project (IP connections over redundant fibres and DWDM systems from the selected sites to Hyperscaler public presence and to my clients Mobile Core sites)

• Infrastructure accommodation and upgrades on the selected sites on which hyperscaler presence is planned:

This includes requirements collection from the Hyperscaler, coordinating and controlling planning and execution of the infrastructure upgrades (cage for the Hyperscaler at selected sites, power and cooling upgrades to accommodate Hyperscaler requirements, CCTV, automatic fire extinguisher systems etc).

• Readiness of the Pilot service offering based on Hyperscaler collaboration:

Implementing and testing the Pilot service over my clients built and Hyperscaler network configuration
