Our very good, direct client in the Energy Tech space has an immediate need for an OT/SCADA Cybersecurity Engineer. Our client develops gigawatt-scale clean energy campuses that power the world's largest AI data centers. With 5+ GW in development and projects under construction among the largest globally, they are backed by Blackstone, Shell, and Arclight and are rapidly commercializing their energy infrastructure platform. AI's energy demand is the defining megatrend of our time-and our client sits at its center.

They are seeking an experienced SCADA/OT Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of cybersecurity controls across their industrial control systems and energy facilities. This role serves as the primary OT cybersecurity lead, partnering closely with SCADA, operations, and engineering teams to secure critical infrastructure.

• Lead OT cybersecurity strategy across industrial and clean energy campuses
• Define OT security architecture, standards, and best practices
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and gap analyses for ICS/OT environments
• Develop OT-specific threat models using MITRE ATT&CK and energy-sector frameworks
• Design and implement segmented OT networks aligned with the Purdue Model and Zero Trust
• Support incident response, vulnerability management, and patching with minimal downtime
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, NERC CIP, and related standards
• Serve as an OT cybersecurity SME, mentoring engineers and supporting secure-by-design initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of OT/SCADA cybersecurity experience, including 3+ years of hands-on field testing
• Strong knowledge of ICS protocols (eg, Modbus, DNP3, OPC) and network security fundamentals
• Experience with tools such as Kali Linux, Dragos, Claroty, or similar
• Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GICSP, etc.)
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to Texas-based sites
