Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

Responsible for analyst relations and related marketing programs on the global, regional, and local levels.

The key areas of responsibility of the Analyst Relations function are

  • Developing and executing annual analyst relations plans in alignment with the overall SAP Ariba business objectives and P&I plans.
  • Identifying budget requirements and help to manage.
  • Prioritizing and maintaining a network of trusted relationships with relevant members of the analyst community
  • Driving positive coverage about SAP in analyst reports
  • Channeling direct feedback from analysts as well as analyst coverage monitoring results into the communications planning process
  • Collaborate with the greater SAP analyst team and other colleague across LoBs.
  • As an Analyst Relations Expert you assume selected key responsibilities associated with this function.

In addition, you are responsible for a topic or selected analysts.

Based on your experience you contribute the innovation and further evolution of the analyst relations practice.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Development of Annual Analyst Plan
  • Building and Maintaining Relationships across marketing and regional teams
  • Gathering and Forwarding Outside-in Intelligence

Key Tasks

  • Provide integrated, regular advice and insight related to the particular constituency group and develop the annual Constituency Communication Plan for the respective constituency groups developed in collaboration with Board Area Communication Leaders thus ensuring an integrated one SAP' relationship with each key group, individual or organization in the constituency group
  • Provide proactive and strategic information and advice to the leaders as input into the development of the integrated analyst plan
  • Supports the Leader by providing information and insights from regions, market segments, and industry sectors based on individual research and knowledge base regarding the constituency
  • Coordinate and provide support as necessary - including managing relationships with influencers and accepting inbound requests for information


  • In-depth understanding of IT market
  • English is either your native language or you have excellent English writing and editing skills
  • Good understanding of analyst relations processes and best practices
  • Professional communicator who is not shy to express opinions and consult others on communications activities
  • Self-motivated and team oriented
  • Flexible and able to cope with stress
  • Experienced in handling confidential material
  • Profound know-how of SAP products
  • In-depth experience in Industry & Influencer Relations on an regional and international level
  • Several years of experience in hands-on Industry & Influencer Relations communications concepts and plans


  • Diploma or BA in Business Administration/PR or related area desired (or equivalent education)
