Your role at Sephora:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for delivering data-driven, actionable insights that contribute to all parts of Retail and Sephora. Reporting to the Director US Retail Business Intelligence, you will be drawing conclusions from imperfect and incomplete data, application of various statistical techniques, including test and learn, and developing retail strategies. In addition, you will:

  • Collaborate across Retail Operations to execute in-store pilots for initiatives which have been prioritized by Senior Leaders and will provide meaningful and measurable testing opportunities.
  • Leverage retail analytical background to develop well designed tests with business partners in across functional areas to support strategic initiatives.
  • Independently develop through and complete analysis plans for each project. Gather input and quickly gain consensus on analysis & reporting approach.
  • Perform complex statistical analyses to extract learnings and drive insights from market basket analyzer, and test and learn for sites module on APT.
  • Provide insights from test results which allow business partners to take effective action to improve retail and merchandising operations.
  • Over time, lean-out testing processes to cut end-to-end cycles times and accelerate weekly test cadence.

We're excited about you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience and steadily increasing responsibility in an analytics function - ideally in a consumer-facing business; retail experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to take complex business analyses and projects from concept to completion and make the results accessible and relevant to business users at all levels.
  • Intellectual and analytical curiosity - initiative to dig into the why of various results.
  • Strong project management & execution skills, includes attention to detail and commitment to consistently meeting timelines and operating from a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, in writing and verbally, and interpersonal skills ensuring the ability to interact with the team, business and peers in a professional manner.
