Job Brief

The MuleSoft Developer is responsible for overall maintenance and enhancement of MuleSoft environments supporting multiple business units across TA. Strong technical, business, and interpersonal skills are required. The developer will rely on atleast 4 years of progressive MuleSoft experience and some experience on the Anypoint 4.2 platform. A deep understanding of how MuleSoft fits in and integrates with in-house systems to support the overall business processes is required. Engagement and collaboration with Vendors at a technical level with attention to detail and ensuring the quality of vendor deliverables is high is important.

Basic understanding of Project Management and developing and delivering small projects to completion independently or working with PMs on larger efforts to help achieve time cost and quality goals is important.

Must possess the following qualifications:

Functional Skills

  • Hands on experience in developing web-based, Client Server and distributed architecture applications using Mule ESB
  • Experience with Workflow Management and Batch Processing
  • Experience in Mule ESB, API Management, and continuous integration.
  • Mule ESB experience in implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise application integration (EAI) using Mule 3.x and preferably Mule 4.x
  • Strong application integration experience using Mule ESB with Connectors, transformations, Routing, Active MQ, JMS and Rabbit MQ. Data Transformations using Mule ESB
  • Experience Developing REST and SOAP API's in and outside of the Mule Ecosystem
  • Expertise in Admin Activities using Mule Management Console (MMC).
  • Experience in developing flow/orchestrations for integrating the components like connectors, transformers and scopes written on top of different platforms using Mule ESB
  • Engage effectively with the Mulesoft community to keep ideas flowing in from the outside
  • Experience in full SDLC and Project support for mission critical applications
  • Experience in developing and maintaining logging and exception handling mechanisms in the context of supporting 24x7 mission critical systems
  • Effectively communicate technical solution designs and lead discussions between the business and technical teams
  • Work closely with business partners, project managers, business analysts, architects, and the technical team to encourage collaboration on technical solutions
  • Help create realistic estimates and work break down to assist the project managers with project planning

Systems Development

  • Perform complex coding and configuration tasks in Mulesoft
  • Act as an expert in the discovery and investigation of complex and critical technical issues as it relates to the Mulesoft ecosystem and perform Production support
  • Perform proofs of concept and prototypes to ensure feasibility and functionality fit, as needed
  • Create functional and technical design specifications and other documentation as required
  • Facilitate code/config reviews and ensure adherence to standards and general best practices

Technical Stack

  • Experience with SaaS software solution implementation and maintenance
  • Salesforce FSL preferred
  • Ability to help standup Dev Ops processes in Mulesoft, that provides the right level of risk management, accountability and separation of duties
  • Understanding of various Integration patterns in how Mulesoft Integrates with diverse Back End systems and Cloud based systems
  • Deep understanding of Languages: Java, .NET, Unix Scripting languages
  • Basic understanding of Database/Reporting/ETL technologies
  • Oracle
  • Reporting: Cognos, Sisense
