Location
Flexible on location, can be near any of our SoFi offices. Slight preference for SF/SEA or Pacific Time zones.
What you'll do
- Produce well-designed, scalable, and reusable code on schedule
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment
- Define technical architecture for the product
- Develop and improve systems that impact multiple teams
- Track project performance against defined milestones/goals
- Mentor other engineers and support the technical culture
- Create and improve technical documentation
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in a technical field), but we understand great engineers come from a variety of backgrounds; we will also consider relevant work experience
- 5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack
- Our core stack is Kotlin/Spring/PostgreSQL, and we run on Kubernetes in a service oriented architecture with over 100 services in production
- 2+ years Java or Kotlin programming experience
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application
- Experience working with asynchronous systems and event-based systems (queues, streams)
- Pragmatic approach towards handling tech debt versus shipping new features
Nice to have
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLM) into products
- Experience scaling highly available, mission critical systems
- Full-stack experience across Back End and frontend
- History of building digital products in the financial space
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
Pay range: $128,000.00 - $240,000.00
Payment frequency: Annual
